Mount this speaker onto bikes, backpacks, and more to take music anywhere. Thanks to extraordinary Kleer technology and a long battery life, this device provides unprecedented sound quality for hours. This clever apparatus is available in two models, supporting both iPod and other MP3 devices (such as phones and PDAs), making it practical for anyone on your gift list.

Are you ever embarrassed about what other people might think of the music you are listening too? I'm not... and on some days, you may just catch me rocking out to some Poison. We've had postings before about bikes and speakers, but nothing quite like this... and while this won't pump out 5000 watts of music bliss, it may just make your ride a little more enjoyable (and safer, if you wear headphones/earbuds). New from Cy·fi comes this tight little package that will easily put sound on you steed. The Cy·fi's small sleek design makes it look great anywhere you decide to mount it. There are two Cy·fi options, one is made for iPod and one is made for Bluetooth. Rock on...

The Cy·fi is the active person's answer to a portable sound system. This wireless speaker system is slick and stylish, but the reason that we love this product is because of its simplicity. The sound package consists of a small speaker with rubberized buttons that can be attached to a bike, backpack or stashed in a large sized pocket. Plug the wireless transmitter into your iPod or Bluetooth device (depending on which model you buy) and ride away. The Cy·fi is highly preferable to riding with earphones from both a safety and comfort standpoint... Additionally, if you're riding in a pack, you can blast the same music to four different units if you are within range of one transmitting device (30 feet). The unit is rechargeable and comes with a wall adapter.

Chicago Athlete Magazine, May 2009

The Cy·fi wireless speaker system is a speaker system designed for people with active lifestyles. It's a small and lightweight (about four ounces) speaker that plays music wirelessly from any Bluetooth-enabled device or iPod (via a dongle) from up to 30 feet away. It's powered by an internal battery pack that will provide "at least six hours of digital sound without needing to recharge." The speaker is mountable, shock resistant, and has buttons for pause/play, change tracks/playlists, and volume control. The Cy·fi system also supports group syncing, allowing a device to transmit to up to four Cy·fi Speakers at once. You can even use the Cy·fi system with you Bluetooth-enabled phone to send and receive phone calls. This device seems like a great idea for someone who is constantly outdoors. They can mount the speaker to their handlebars using the included mounting brackets. Then whenever they go for a ride, they can just connect their mp3 player or phone wirelessly and tuck it away safely. This is also a safe alternative to headphones which can impair a person's ability to hear approaching cars or other riders.

The iPod craze came and went, and while most might still opt to listen to their compact music player amongst themselves, others might want to dive into something a little more new and a little more serious for music listening for all. Introducing this Cy·fi wireless sports speaker. It's great when biking, pushing along the baby carriage, camping, fishing and more. The Cy·fi easily works with any iPod or Bluetooth enabled product. It is slightly larger than a deck of cards and is incredibly light; to easily carry it on the go. This product allows not only you, but many of your friends and companions to enjoy music along the way. It's a real party starter.

Damn I Like That, February 2009

As most of you know, one of the quickest ways to get yourself into danger while biking is listening to headphones. Yes, you've spent hours perfecting that last playlist in iTunes. Yes, it might be flat out the best exercise soundtrack known to man, but no matter how much Led Zeppelin, DMX, or Yanni (to each man his own) you've got blasting, it's doubtful you'll be all that pumped when that Ford Expedition soccer mom barrels into you on a blind right turn. Listening to headphones while biking just isn't safe... but there is a solution. It comes in the form of a Cy·fi, and I got my hands on one. The Cy·fi is, at its core, a wireless speaker. It allows you to transfer audio from your cell phone, PDA, or MP3 player via Bluetooth (A2DP), providing you with tunes pretty much anywhere (up to 30 feet from the device). Oh, and before you start thinking you have to strap some bulky contraption to your handlebars, know that the Cy·fi is just a touch larger than a deck of cards and weighs 4 ounces (about a few long swigs of water from your bottle). Minimal impact on your ride. The Cy·fi isn't just relegated to your bike though, latch it onto your backpack or leave it out at your next picnic. Having spent a few weeks with the Cy·fi on Manhattan's bike trails, I'm pleased to report the sound is far clearer than I expected. It also manages to provide a near-field sound stage as not to disturb those around you. It's a feature that doesn't seem to be touted, but should be. How it manages to do this I have nary a clue, but it works and I like it. The built in volume and track controls are a nice touch (especially when wearing gloves) and when paired with my iPod Nano (pocketed), they make for a welcome lightweight auditory addition. The Cy·fi comes packaged with its own desktop charging dock (a truly undervalued convenience for me) and the unit will run about 5.5-6 hours on a single charge. That's plenty of time to kick your ass on the trails. The Cy·fi's hat trick is not just its music and portability, but the fact that the Bluetooth version also works as a hands-free speakerphone. If your phone supports voice recognition, then you've got speed dial. Of course, how you look talking to someone while you're biking is entirely subjective. Like most great products, the Cy·fi was invented by a fellow who found himself in need of something. As a cycling enthusiast, Jeff Lotman (the inventor) wanted to find a safer way to bike with his iPod and thus the Cy·fi was born. Verdict: At about $200, the CyFi is a touch expensive for cycling gear, but then again so is a collision with a Ford Expedition. Also, it's nowhere near as painful.

Biking to work can seem daunting. But making it fun is the way to go. These biking accessories will make your trip fun so you don't think about how sweaty and tired you are when you arrive at work. Cy·fi wireless sports speaker is the ideal way to listen to your favorite tunes without the risks that come with headphones. Weighing less than four ounces and mountable to your handlebars or backpack, Cy·fi broadcasts your favorite tunes while allowing you to change the track, volume and playlist with one hand. Cy·fi features best-in-class digital sound for more than six hours off one charge. Supports iPod or iPod Nano.

I'm sure none of F7's considerate readers will be an irresponsible "loudness lout" with this beautifully made and attractive gadget from California, the Cy·fi Sports Speaker. It's a lightweight amplifier/speaker that can be attached to a bike, backpack and possibly other outdoorsy-type things and plays high-quality music for your amusement as you cycle, trek or whatever you do, sucking up the sounds wirelessly from your iPod or phone. It weights less than 4oz and can run for five hours on just one charge. And you can change tracks and adjust volume with the remote control while you're on the hoof, as well as take phone calls on speakerphone as they come in.

Technopolis, May 2009

Perfect for biking, camping and backpacking, Cy·fi is the worlds first wireless sports speaker and it connects easily to an iPod to play music during any activity. The speaker's lightweight with a six-hour battery life and mounts easily on a bike or backpack with the included attachments. Keep you iPod in your pocket and easily change the track and volume from the speaker. It's a safe, convenient way to listen to music while riding. If your friends get their own speakers you can broadcast music to all of them from a single iPod. Don't worry is someone falls behind the pack, the wireless signal works from up to 30 feet away.
